Commissioning your custom pet portrait is as easy as 1-2-3-4
Pets are family – and what better way to cherish and memorize them than a bespoke and unique piece of art. Using the best materials available and paying meticulous attention to detail, I strive to capture the personality and character of your furry family member.
And the best part – unlike with photo prints you are not bound to the original reference photo, but can easily have alterations done to the artwork. You have a complete freedom of choice when it comes to the background of your portrait – while you’re at it, why not have the portrait specifically match your home decor too!
Because every pet deserves a lovingly created portrait.

Send an e-mail to hello@artofilonat.com. Please include the following:
- your reference photo(s)
- the portrait type & size you wish to order
- any other relevant information (such as the desired background for your portrait, a required completion date or if it’s a surprise gift)
- the country you’re from (so I can give you a correct shipping quote)
Secure your slot
Once all the details have been cleared, I will send you a PayPal invoice for a 25% deposit (refundable for 7 days after booking). When the deposit has been paid, I will book your slot in my commission calendar.
The Drawing Process
Once your portrait is booked in, you can sit back and relax. I will notify you just before I start working on your portrait.
Stage 1: Follow Your Portrait’s Progress
Once I’ve started to work on your portrait, keep an eye on my Instagram and Facebook pages where you can watch your portrait come to life, all the way from the initial trace lines to the finished portrait. If your commission is a surprise gift I am happy send the progress photos directly to your inbox and hold off on posting them on my own social media accounts until the portrait has been gifted.
Stage 2: Give Your Approval
When I think the portrait is finished, I will send you one more photo for your approval. I am happy to make small tweaks to your portrait until you’re 100% happy with it, at no extra cost. Please note that significant alterations, such as adding a detailed background, can only be done with an additional cost that will be added to the final invoice.
Stage 3: Completion
After you have given your approval, I will send you the final PayPal invoice for the remaining balance plus secure shipping. Your portrait will be carefully packaged and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a care guide. Once the balance as been paid in full, I will ship your portrait with FedEx and send you the tracking number so that you can follow its journey to you. My Icelandic customers are of course welcome to pick up their portraits from me in person.
