Belleau the German Shepherd

Belleau is a beautiful, pure-bred German Shepherd who has been around quite a lot in her 7 years of life. She used to live in Germany together with her family and travel around Europe. They have since moved to the US and her owner wanted a portrait of Belleau to display in their new home. She requested something very simple and understated, so I only added very light shading behind Belleau to create more contrast with the white background and her light-colored fur. Drawn with soft pastels and pastel pencils on a white Pastelmat board.
