Quila the Beauceron and Duke the Amstaff mix

The double portrait Quila (the Beauceron) & Duke (the Amstaff/Pitty mix) is still one of my hardest drawings to date – it took me over 50h to finish. Especially Quila’s elaborate markings were a real challenge. The composition was made of two separate photos and Quila’s accessories were left out of the drawing. Drawn with Luminance and Polychromos pencils on a white Pastelmat board. I also used soft pastels for the background.
